Default Setting up a new laptop (MBP)

I searched but didn't see anything directly related to this. My macbook pro is on the UPS truck for delivery as I type so I'll be playing around with it and ignoring work for the better part of the day. Anybody have any tips or suggestions for setting it up specifically related to DJ'ing?

If it's anything over 4gb RAM you won't really need to do much. Just delete anything unessecary.

    To quote Karlos Santos...

    1) Turn it on

    That's it :-)

    Yep!

This is the software i use now:

    Traktor
    OSCulator
    Midi Pipe
    Mixed in Key
    iTouch Midi OSX
    Audacity

Any other go to software that should be mandatory? I'm going to get it all set up fresh then mirror the drive so I have a clean install with all the basic software already on it. I use Time Machine for backup so that may be a little redundant.

I need to figure out the iTunes sharing deal between these computers. My laptop will be the main DJ rig, but all the music is on the iMac. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that.

Just do a "software update" after you have followed Karlos detailed and exhaustive instructions. If you're new to Mac, the software update is available in the Apple menu (Apple logo) on the title bar.

    Oh, and Enjoy!
