Do you want to map the mixer filter or one of the fx filters?

OP your confusing us when you say you have an x1 for effect then are mapping the filter to the fx already in the mixtrack. Cant you simply jsut select the fx in traktor and use them on your mixtrack stock preferences.

theres a difference between the two filters. I like the in built mixer one better than the fx one. Off topic but MOT

Don't forget to remove the default controls from whichever knob you choose.

The mapping worked when i did this but when i use the knob the filter either goes to -98% or +100% so i cant tune it at all. any ideas how to fix it?

Sounds like a bad type of controller... If you got em set to encoder make sure to change this setting in to fader/knob.
also, what controller do you use?
