    Default Numark N4 mapping/effects

    Goodmorning,

I recently bought the Numark N4 and I use it with traktor pro 2.
Not too bad, but it seems to me, like I miss a lot of effects.

There is a possibility on the Numark N4 for 4 decks, but I am using just the two decks.
I have my Traktor mapping also setup like that (used the mapping file on the Numark website).

Now I have a few buttons and knobs left, for the other two decks, which I am not using.
Is it possible by mapping, to use those buttons and knobs for effects, or will it mess something up?

As you can see in the picture, the red-marked buttons and knobs are free.

The effect I am looking for is soem sort of build up effect, with a sweep.
I found something similair on youtube, which I will add to my mapping is it's possible,
but still I am looking for another build up.
It's like when the kick comes in normal and goes faster and faster until everything "explodes".

So, does anyone know if it's possible for me to adjust those free buttons and knobs, so I can use effects
with them, and does anyone know the effect I am looking for?

I hope you can help me out!

    Kind regards,

    outlandz

It really is, but you probably won't find nothing than bounch of parameters to make your own mappings. That thread indeed require some basic skills but if you learn fast I can give you a tip.

Since your mapping has control over all four decks you will have to delete all commands for decks D and C that are already existing in the mapping.

    -gain
    -high
    -mid
    -low
    -cue button
    -line fader
-deck switch and shift buttons (could be tricky if that's a firmware shift and deck toggle or a modifiers)

Can you post the link to that specific mapping? Also what version of Traktor do you run?
