    Poor saying if you ask me.
    It doesn't come from the film, more the film takes aspects of London culture and represents them on the celluloid highway.

    It's a bit of south london parlance, I'm not sure why it mentions a granny, but it does.

    One can use it for anything taken to it's limit, i.e:

    Mike : How was your set at Egg?
    John : I smashed the granny out of it mate, proper had it, it was wicked.

    Erm... well yeah isnt that obvious. the most well known usage of it (for non londoners) is in the film . Thats the point.
