One of my tt's emits a very soft sound, very grumbly and distorted. I'm positive its a cartridge problem or possibly a grounding issue. What would happen is if i brought my hand near the cart, it would start making a weird sound. Even if the TT was turned off. My Cart is a Stanton 400.v3 or v.2.
- What Could be causing the problem above?
- How can I fix it?
and some questions out of curiosity:
- Can I replace a needle once its worn out? or do i have to replace the entire cartridge once the needle wears out?
- Can someone please point me in the direction of a guide with some general turntable advice? Or maybe someone can give a noob some protips?
Thank you all very much
