Is my Laptop good enough?

Recently got back into mixing after originally using vinyl am now using and enjoying the mixstream pro, however the mixer does have its limitations. I could either upgrade to a better all in one controller or get a controller and use my laptop. My laptop is a 2013 macbook pro retina, 2.6gHz dual core i5 with 8GB ram. Will my laptop be fast enough to use rekord box without any issues?

to fully utilize rekordbox and its functionalities including stems, u will have to update ur laptop. try to max ur budget out and buy atleast a 3 yr old mbp.

Hi Thanks for the reply, that's what I thought but have not used pc software for a long time and that was a DVS system.

they are all DVS systems, its just that the S/Ws have got much more demanding when it comes to PC power and H/W usage.
