    Default Nocturnal Storm

First one of my own productions that I'm posting on here! No idea what to categorise this as...

I'm a bit of a newbie at this producing thing, been playing around with ableton for over a year or so now, but haven't really felt that anything I've made is good enough to post on here.

Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated!

Really dug the dark piano chord progression and the verb on the perc elements followed by what sounded like gated verb.

Nice ambience and mood on this one.

I really enjoyed listening to this, not heard anything like it! The random trumpet section nearer the end, in particular, is class. Also the FX on your snare is great as ImNotDeadYet mentioned.

try adding some short breaks in the drums, maybe some sort of reverb riser here and there for tension... overall this is not half bad

As a trumpet player myself I had to get some in there somewhere! That's not me playing though.... I'm not quite that good! I'm pretty sure the snare is actually a clap sample, which I just took directly from Maschine, added a load of reverb and then gated it on the second hit.

Drum programming is definitely something I need to work on.... I always seem to create the same beats with no variation at all, need to properly get some finger drumming on the go with Maschine!
