    Default New to DJing

    Hi everyone, new member here.

I'm very new to DJing and I want to buy some equipment. I've played around with computer DJ programs(Virtual DJ and Traktor) and I want something to use them with but I have no idea what to get. I seriously have no idea what I would get, so I would like suggestions. My budget is $300 at most, but the cheaper the better.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on what to buy.

If your patient you can probably find a used VCI-100 for around that price.

You'll get plenty of tips from this site; I certainly did. My choice was a used vci-100 and I'm so pleased I did. You could look at my post about DJing on a budget, although it depends on what you want to do i.e bedroom, party or clubs. I want to do clubs but for now to get my name out there I've got a resident bar spot using my own system. All on a budget that will pay for itself in a few weeks. The biggest outlay will always be the years of collecting music (30yrs) and staying in touch with the crowd
