Default TSP With Denon 1600 and 3700

Can you guys tell me what I am doing wrong? I want to run the 1600 with Traktor Scratch Pro and use the 3700s in midi mode to control decks one and two. Decks three and four can remain internal. I am able to get sound without the audio8 but I am not able to control the tracks with the 3700 platter. I must be missing a step?

I don't think that traktor supports spinning platters thru midi. your gonna have to time-code the 3700s

Supposedly Denon has a "hybrid midi" that allows you to use the 3700s without timecode CDs, but I have yet to get it to work.

It just sends out the timecode as if you had the CD. Always seemed a bit pointless to me.

    Few of the benefits:
Relative timecode is produced live from the DSP and not recorded media, which is prone to skipping, damage and wear & tear. You never have to replace a needle, vinyl record or CD. Unlike the 16-min limit with normal media, the S3700 timecode never runs out, its timeless.

You can't honestly compare it to actual vinyl since you'll be using a cd player. It's not hard to ensure your CDs are in good shape. I think I'd have rather paid less for the same product without the timecode function and then just threw a CD into it.

I dunno about the whole infinitely long timecode thing though. I mean while it does sound cool though I've never had an issue with my records being too long.
