    Default Loop Roll in Traktor

I wanted to map a loop roll effect in traktor, I just wanted to see if anyone else had done this and may be able to help me get started. I want to assign a knob to this but was unsure where to start with this mapping.

You can use the Beatmasher effect or what I prefer more loop size in flux mode.

So I would just make a mapping that changes the loop size as I wind the pot down? I don't like the beatmasher loop roll as much.

Has anyone got a Dicer mapping for Traktor that recreates the Serato functionality?

    Red - set/trigger.
    Red (shift) -delete cues
    Green - Loop Rolls
    Amber - Auto loop

It's one of the reasons I haven't switched to Traktor yet...

Correct. You can also check invert if you want to decrease the loop size turning knob clockwise.

Hey Patch, that's easy to map yourself - let me know if you want to attempt to create one and I can give you some input.

I've managed to re-create serato functionality perfectly in DJ Decks for Dicers. Even having buttons light up at 50% when a cue point is stored, and light up at 100% when the button is pressed.

Same for loop roll (50% when off,100% when held down) and auto loop (50% when inactive, and 100% when looping).

Can all this be done in Traktor Scratch?

Don't know exact MIDI range velocity settings that dicer use to produce different colors, you'll have to figure out that.

Map one of modifier for each cue button:
    Cue 1 / M=1 (hold)
    Cue 2 / M=2 (hold)
    Cue 3 / M=3 (hold)
    Cue 4 / M=4 (hold)
    Cue 5 / M=5 (hold)

    Cue 1 out / 50% - M1=0 ; 100% - M1=1
    etc, etc...

You still have second modifier slot to set delete cue modifier.

    Default Loop "ROLL" in Traktor

    Hi "DM" Wazzup....

this is how i mapped loop "ROLL" in the 4 pads of the SB2:

to every pad u want to act as a loop "ROLL":

    (Add in...):
-Loop Size selector (Mode: Direct), (size 1=x)
    -Loop Set (Mode:Hold).
    -Flux Mode On (Mode:Hold).

(Size=x: when x= the first size u want to use, lets say pad 1=1/8, pad 2=1/4, pad 3=1/2, pad 4=1)

the only problem is that u can only combine the pads of the loop "ROLL" until 1 of the pads is release...
(in serato it does not work that way, u are allowed to keep combining the 4 pads of the loop "ROLL" for ever if u want...)

what rises another question... how could we map this feature in Traktor in a way where we can emulate Seratos possibility of keep combining the pads mapped to loop "ROLL" for ever?....

    best regards
