    i'm really digging this thing, but the deal breaker for me are the lights around the platters.

    Yeah, this definitely intrigues me. Am currently using an MC6000 with Virtual DJ, and then a plugin in Virtual DJ to output beat grid info and cue changes to freestyler to control my lighting. It's a perfect setup, and it works really well, but having everything built into the controller could be awesome!

    if they had put them inside the platters, everyone would be like "they're copying Pioneer.". you just can't please everybody I say.

    ps just remembered: denon players have a "negative" mode for platter lights, maybe this will also have it

    Tots.

    But for most people, like me, there is a a heavy consideration of UI and UX, and I know those bright ass lights would start to hurt my eyes after a while. I don't focus well in environments of high visual stimulation and flashing lights.
