Default New Faderfox Range is out.

The new 3rd Generation controller from Faderfox are out.

Anyone looking to buy a small, powerful and incredibly well built controller should look at these.
I have the DX2 (2nd Gen) and it is an amazing piece of kit.

Not much changes in the 3rd Gen but have look.

    Karlos I know you're a fan..
    What are the faders like?

I'm using a x-session pro and the faders are a bit loose for my liking.
Are these more like a mixer?

    Ok - so you've a dx2 - they don't have faders!
anyone got the dj2? what the faders like?

I love Faderfox controllers...the USB addition is very nice, but I think I was hoping for a real revamp to the whole physical aspects of it. Different knobs, fader caps, buttons, major layout changes (which are definitely there, just not in the way I originally imaged).

I think the big plus is the USB thing. Really sucked having to get a MIDI to USB relay to run those lol.

    I couldnt agree more.
I suppose they are following the maxim "If it aint broke..."

The beauty is that they have a small footprint. Thats kinda the whole point of a Faderfox so they are restricted to what you can comfortably cram onto one.

For Traktor users it looks like using 4 decks is lot easier that it was before with the 2nd Gen so thats a huge plus point.

I think they will sell well but im not sure DX2 users will become DX3 users unless their DX2 busts.

The guy here who sings the Faderfox praises will probably poo-poo the USB models. He daisy chains a couple together into his A8DJ with 5-pin midi and would now need more USB ports...

They should have left the old 5-pins on there too. Maybe they have, but the documents don't say so.

Still, nice controllers in a small footprint.

i might well buy a DJ2 and an audio 2 as an ultraportable setup for travelling etc as i always wish that i could sketch out a few ideas when i'm on the road - also means you can play impromptu sets at bars/clubs/house parties incredibly easily....

Yeah actually i dont mind the Midi on the DX2. Connects via my A8 or my Firebox leaving the USBs free.

When i used to just use the DX2 on its own it was simple. Midi faderfox to Firebox then firewire to the Mac.

which isn't likely in my experience... I've had my DJ1 since 2004 and it's been gigged the hell out of all around Asia! Such tough little controllers
