Default Need help with choosing a laptop for DJing

    Hi there.
Im currently looking for a cheap laptop that will let me dj with ableton with glitching and shuttering.
The big plan is to save money for macbook pro that will also replace my desktop, but currently i dont have enough money for this and im having some shows in 3 weeks.

My setup on ableton includes two audio tracks which contains the tracks im about to use and one more audio track for some samples.
on the master i got some audio effects that i use one in a while.
    Not something to heavy.

Now, i found two laptop which seems very nice but i got a little dilemma.
Will a B970 Proccessor handle the job or its should i add about 70$ for an I3-2730m ?

    Thanks in advance.
    Parkinson.

Im from israel and the prices here are different so the price range is pretty much irrelevant.
Also, not every laptop model is sold here..

Im planning on buying the Lenovo G580.

I'd suggest going for an HP Envy 14 (the beats edition I have came with 8gb RAM, an i5 and is awesomely built for the price). If you can find one it shouldn't go for over 800 USD. Is a decent alternative for a mac since it can stand a decent workload. At least for some time until you save for a Mac if you're settled on getting one.

The Envy is more than double the price of the G580.

Please, just tell me if there is a big difference between the B970 and the I3.

Not trying to be an Ass but the question of "what laptop" comes up every week and there is a bundle of treads on the subject which normally ends up in a pissing match between Brands, Spec, Features, Models, Resolutions etc etc .. but the information is there

Also even a core2duo will handle the Job (at least a mac one will)

Typed from my 4 year old 13' Macbook pro 2.4ghz/8gb/Dual Hard Drive running Ableton with 400 Full length Tracks loaded into my grid and 3-8 tracks and samples playing at any given a time + effects.

Honestly I'd go for a Second Hand i5 Macbook 10/11 months old ($700 maybe?) that you can get Applecare for.

    Seach function is your friend.
