That's a question with complicated answers, dude. The best place to start is to read your manuals. Then search and scan this (and other) forum(s). THEN, when you have a better idea of what you understand and what you don't, hopefully you'll have specific questions and someone can help you out.

You'll have to route the audio through your soundcard into Ableton. If you're using Traktor, Ableton and Traktor can midi sync to keep everything in time. I don't think you realize what you're getting into. What is your setup at the moment and are you familiar with digital djing?

Yeah, the above post is correct. Routing into ableton is not crazy difficult if you have some idea of what you're doing, but it can be a little much if you're new. Do a search for Bentosan's "routing traktor into ableton live" to get a general overview, but it might pay to get Really familiar with your dj software/sound card first.

As for mapping your nanopad to fx in Ableton, just click the MIDI button in the top right corner, click the effect button you want to use, and press a button on the nanopad. (This is assuming the nanopad "remote" button is checked under preferences/midi)

    Hello

    I am slightly more forward,

I can see what I think is the music playing in ableton from traktor, Should I see wave forms?

also the output from ableton does that have to go back to the output channel on my audio 8 sound card,

Then does this plug back in the back of my djm800

    Thanx

As said already, search for smart mixing traktor into ableton from BentoSan. It's a guide on how to route everything, so there you will find your answers.

I have looked at that but come up against problems when using this

Now click Output Config, if you want to do your mixing externally on a mixer you will need to select one stereo channel for each deck you want to route. If your mixing with midi controllers you will need 2 stereo outputs enabled, one for your mix and the other for monitoring. I personally only have a single stereo channel sound card so i only have the one output enabled as shown :
    ****
I Have about 16 options which to select an none of which go to my audio 8,

Now if i go to prefs of Ableton and select driver type asio and audio device asio4all I seem to be picking up levels in eac live track but no sound,

But if i change that to audio 8 to try and route it back i have a problem,

I am sorry about all the problesm
