Default Question: Traktor Scratch Pro Timecode

Ok. I see in TSP pics the area that shows a "virtual turntable" on screen sometimes it shows a dot that seems to rotate and sometimes it shows a circular "waveform".

Which does it do? I would really like the dot. Makes it easier to scratch and know where to drop. or how many rotations i have to go back to hit a certain point.

The reason I ask is that i've only seen the "waveform" shown when people use traktor.

I could be wrong but i believe the circles are primarily for calibration, then like you said the dots are then used as spot markers.

Yeah the circle shows how good the vinyl calibrates. You switch between the dot and the circle simply by clicking on it.
There is a blog article about this exaxt thing. Try doing a search at the front page.
