Default Elementary school V-day dance playlist help..?

Over a year ago my Mom asked me to DJ at her elementary school for a last day of school celebration thing. It was one of the best times I had DJing cuz all the kids went nutz. Like 500 or so kids dancing, breaking, everything.

So she just asked if I'd do another one for a Valentines Dance.

My problem is I have been really into doing my own kind of thing when DJing, more of my own taste in music and not so much current radio hits.

I would like as many of you as possible to help me get some playlist ideas together. Most kids want to hear the lastest radio jingle. Last time it was Soulja Boy's Superman. I had a clean edit and an instrumental, and played like a super extended mix. As much is they like that Hip Pop stuff there will be tons of requests for things I would never play or even care to know, things out side of Hip Pop culture especially, but mostly that. These kinds of tunes just aren't my specialty and I dont like most of the stuff on the radio, but I have so much fun doing it, my tastes are easily sacraficed.

I need some by possibly friday, but it might not be untill the 5th of Febuary.

    Any ideas?

I think it's aboout 8-12. There are younger kids but the 8-12 crowd are the ones that will be all up on my shit talking about "do you have this...can you play that....blah blah blah"

I guess you are in the States but what i would do in the UK is check the National Radio One Top 40 and there current playlist.

You may have a US equivalent ? Billboard Top 40 maybe , i dunno.

You gotta play percentages here. DOnt worry about the Emo kids and the hardcore Rap kids. Just play to the masses and you will get by.

Get the radio edits. You could probably get the whole set off iTunes for about 30$.
    Get the school to pay.
