    Default komytea

I recently discovered those producers through the latest renaissance Zabiela mix and I really love their sound. I would call it dark-progressive-tech-minimal... or something.

Do you know of any other labels/artists that have this kind of vibe?

I'm into progressive, but I'm tired of everyone using always the same pads, chords, structures, arpeggiators...

    Thanks

The anjunadeep label is quite nice. If you like Komytea, you will probably enjoy Michael Cassette (I believe either komytea is a part of the collab group michael cassette, or the other way around, cant remember). I've loved their tracks for a good bit.

check out 16bit Lolitas and Jaytech from the same label

Also, i guess I kinda think they are like, 80's sci fi production, but with modern technique and flow.

I have some few selected tracks of that label because most of the time the music they release is too much melodic trancey for my taste.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check those!

yeah, its definitely melodic house. its spawned off of anjunabeats, so it makes sense that they are very trance like. Their website has a nice preview function if I remember correctly.

What songs did you like by komytea, cause their sound is kinda wide (from melodic to and back)

    Michael cassette.

You will see a lot of similar themes in their music (bass pads), but I find cassette is a bit more uplifting/not as discordant at times. Its not super melodic though.

Michael Cassette sounds way too much like Dinka to me.

Yeah, I figured that out. Thats why i said its uplifting, but it still kinda stays away from melodic.

Idk, I appreciate both styles. I genuinly like melodies, but sometimes I feel like trance and melodic house play in far too major keys. We need more minor trance.
