Default Green Room Bar @ Glastonbury Festival

    Anyone know it?

I've never done Glasto, despite living in Bristol for 7 years, largely as I thought it'd be overwhelming - 150,000 punters and assorted staff kinda freaks me out a little as I usually stick to stuff that's a little smaller.

A mate may have a slot for this bar for this years festival and has enquired whether I might be able join in but I have no idea if this place is any good - being stuck playing a dead bar 3-4 nights in a row would bite.

    Should I pitch in?

Any gigs a good gig? I would say go for it. You get a free ticket and free beer, and a chance to play to (potentially) a decent crowd.

NEVER NEVER NEVER turn down a gig at the world best music festival.

Your life will be changed forever by Glastonbury

Seriously though its the best. There are over 50 stages, something you will love will be on somewhere at every point in the day.

not sure i know the Green Room but i know that no-where is a dead end bar at the Festival. People will gather and dance round a bloke playing a kazoo if theres nothing else on.

Im sure you will get some free time and see some amazing acts.

Plus this year its the 40th Anniversary. There are gonna be some once in a lifetime appearances this year... Rolling Stones ?

    I never miss it.

    Dude, go for it.

I went to first Glasto in 08 and will probably go to everyone from now till the end of time. There is no other place like it with such a broad range of music, experiences and cultures.

I spend the last two years; six months running up to it, getting more and more excited about it, with the six months after it blabbing onto my mates how good it was. This year I broke my nose on the Friday and carried on partying till Monday and still had an amazing time.

If you dont wanna do it, I would happily take your place :-)

I would tell you what you can do with your 'Creamfields' but this a family forum. Next thing you'll be recommending going to Glade ...

(too much of a reputation for banging house & a three day Ket fuelled benders for me, I tend to do Festinho and the Big Chill)
