budget PA advice

I know I'm not going to be able to afford putting together a proper PA system for a while. In the meantime though, I want something that will allow me to play house parties. Some dude on craigslist is selling this system:

and I think I could get it from him for around 200$. Does anyone have any experience with this set up? I trust this forum way more than I trust 'customer reviews' on random vendors' sites.

Keep in mind, I'm broke, just starting out, and I'll most likely be playing to house parties of like 30-60 people. Thanks for the help.

That should be plenty to get you started for small gigs. Not the best, but a really good deal. Get some stands for those speakers, and you can rock a house party no problem.
