Default Best way to use Mic with Audiofire2?

I have a private gig coming up where I have to make a few shout outs. I currently use an Audiofire2 soundcard with VCI 100 SE and Akai LPD8. I don't think I can hook up a microphone to my soundcard as it is now. So im basically asking what would be the best/cheapest method for me to use a mic with this soundcard? Should I just rent an external mixer that has a mic input and plug into the one channel on the mixer with me Audiofire2 or is there a better/cheaper method. Never do many private gigs so I usually just use the club mic?

    Help please.

P.S I'm trying to save as much money as possible with rented gear so I can save a few dollars.

I don't have one yet so I'm going to have to rent one. I am also going to rent a subwoofer. I own two 15'' 600W RMS speakers with a Tapco J-2500 Amp.

IF you're not using the Line Inputs you should be able to plug a dynamic mic in through a 1/4" connection. Just set a deck to be Audio Through and set in your Preferences to take Input 1 or 2 and you should be able to do it without a mixer.

The Audio2 from NI doesn't, but the screen shot I saw of the Audiofire 2 () looked like it had 2.
