    Default Traktor Gamepad

After finally working out how to get Midiyoke working on vista, in conjunction with Rejoice. I am now trying to make a mapping that will control Traktor using just the Gamepad.

However the joysticks which i want to control my FX acting as buttons (not Knobs) what am i doing wrong???

Is that not a setting in mapping? You set what the input is ie button rotary fader etc...

do you mean the joysticks don't behave as knobs? could that be because they're closer to buttons in some way?

Most Joysticks are analog which means they are just two pots at right angles to each other and so should work as knobs, dont forget they probably have a button function too when you push them.

The issue with using gamepad controllers is that they sit in a circular hole which massively restricts their movement, so you wont get 'Kaoss pad' like control. TO get arround this you can always take them appart and make the hole square though.

Well that wierd it magically started behaving today. Thanks you all the same. see what you mean about the square peg in a round hole. I might have to get my whittling knife out.

    Thanks
