Default Lowering the bass on and old track.

Hey guys, I need to lower the bass levels on an old track I have. However the problem is the Ableton file is corrupted and won't open. Can I take the old WAV I have and just add an EQ to it to lower it or will that affect the whole track negatively. Just wondering, thanks a lot.

    Here's the track BTW.

i'm thinking you could lower it through an eq very slightly, too much may hurt the mix as a whole, worth a shot though

or use a highpass filter on the track and ever so lightly take out some of the lowend.
We don't believe in the star system. We want the focus to be on the music. If we have to create an image, it must be an artificial image. That combination hides our physicality and also shows our view of the star system. It is not a compromise-daftpunk

I'm wondering how the file got corrupted? I've been using Live for a year or so now and I have yet to corrupt any files...

btw yeah dude you can lower the bass in the track, I'm not using any monitors right now but the sub sounds pretty low and the kick sounds pretty clicky so I think it's OK to lower it as long as you don't go nuts on freqs you dont wanna touch
I used to link music in my signature but nowadays I don't.

Doesn´t matter if is a live´s file or whatever, the files can be corrupted by a lot of ways, like dameged cluster, virus, lost pointers, and so on...

I'm not sure how it happened. But any time I try to open to file now it crashes Live. Weird.
