yea it is, you just need a serato account, d/l links for mac and pc at the very bottom of this page http://serato.com/forum/discussion/229387

edit: ohhh itch... yea, itch 1.5 is still in RC, don't know whats up with that...

got a chance to test out the beta for about a half hour this morning

I really like it, didn't have any issues, haven't had time to hook up a midi controller to my ssl setup yet so i just messed around with the effects with the mouse...they sound fine, i prob use the HPF & LPF the most but time will tell.

I rather like the no waveform mode, prob cause serato's little center beat matching visual confuses me as i'm new with serato, but it cleans up the screen nice.

also it seems like the bpm counter telling you what bpm the song is playing at seems more accurate

i'm not a big album cover guy so that part isn't doing much for me....people have mentioned this is a big plus for djs used to record covers, but to me that's more about the ipod generation, to me associating record cover with record was just another thing to remember, but i'm simple and would do fine with just a white record cover with the name of artist and track title clearly printed that's like just my opinion, others will have different experiences.

konix put up a couple of review vids if you want to check it out.

the beta runs great on my older laptop with pentium m processor and 768MB ram but it's a performance install of XP and serato is the only thing on there...

I'm seriously considering getting an SL3 and a DDM4000 with an Innofader. I think SSL2 might just swing it for me...
