Start producing and get you're tracks on the top 10 beatport list. That's how you become a well known DJ

native instruments forum is ok. i‘m reading pretty often in there, but don't post myself.

create digital music is also cool. very inspiring.

skratchworx does have cool reviews. very helpful for buy decisions.

last but not least of the pages i frequently use is the ableton forum.
    http://forum.ableton.com/

for gadgets in general definitely http://gizmodo.com/ and http://www.engadget.com/. they feature dj/audio gadgets once in a while.

yeah, that's pretty much all of the sites i highly visit. djtechtools is still the best!

Personally I think striving to become famous is the wrong way to go about it. Learn and have fun with what you are doing. Produce if you enjoy it, if you don't... don't. Be famous for what you enjoy, not what you'd like to enjoy.

    Agree with Barrys 2p.

If you want to be famous go on X-Factor or Big Brother.

Love music and the rest will either fall into place or you will have a life of fun doing something worthwhile and have a normal job.

Become a DJ to be famous and you might end up like this knob-jockey.

^ good point.. family is a lot easier to access than hollywood media whores.

only thing is the guy might have problems getting a hold of grenades though, maybe post a thread in the buy+sell section?
