Default My Dream: Maschine and Traktor

Oh wowzers, I just dl'ed the new Maschine 1.5 beta, this thing just increases in value everytime there is a new update. After watching a Keys N Krates video I started looking ways to up the ante as far as DJ's go. This is where Maschine and Traktor come into play. I would love if Traktor could dedicate deck C/D to Maschine. Ideally you could sample your current or next to be played song into Maschine. Slice up the intro or a familiar part of the song. Then you could drum up a new pattern with that. The key part of having Maschine as it's own deck would be having the ability to EQ and Monitor the sound coming in from Maschine. Also FX from Traktor could be applied as well. This would be so easy to do live remixing, not to mention it being in sync. Anyone else praying for the Maschine Traktor marriage to come sooner then later.

If I were you I would write exactly what you just said to NI, to let them know that people are interested in this collaberation.

    I agree with the OP.
This is actually all over the place at NI. There are numerous threads and discussion so yeah join in.

NI are aware of the demand for tighter Machine/Traktor integration and are definitely gonna improve on this.

As a Maschine user myself i think its the way forward. Good things will come im sure.

I'd be even more tempted to buy maschine if this happened. Money's tight right now, but come the summer I may have funds available. If say hypothetically NI had this sort of intergration going buy then I'd most likely cave in and splash out

With Serato/Ableton combining forces, I would not be surprised if Maschine and Traktor worked together sometime in the near future.
Setup: Kontrol S2, Komplete Audio 6, Maschine Mikro Akai LPD 8, Akai Mpk49, Traktor 2, Ableton Suite 8.

The funny thing is that Maschine's flow is so much better then the bridge already. The only downside is not being able to have a better control over things like EQ and volume of the Maschine. The velocity pads make it difficult to have a consistent sound without having to try again. Sampling is immediate and the Maschine is pretty smart at taking a sample and slicing it at transients. Me and my buddy were jamming last night, i'd play an old jazz song by Chet Baker, sample a piano into Maschine and play some hip hop instrumentals in Traktor while he drummed in some chopped up piano's on. That to me made me feel like I was doing more then just playing someone's music.
