    Default Rapid Evolution v beaTunes2 v Trainspotter1... sighhh

    Hey guys...

Am going through and finding the keys of my songs, however for some songs, each program comes back with a different key :/

Don't have the money for MiK, so that program is really out of the question for now, and while i may teach myself how to do it in the future, i dont know how to detect the key by ear...

I've also tried playing songs in the same key together to see if they match up, however for a number of songs, i couldn't get a unanimous decision from each program, making this sort of hit and miss....

Which program do you believe is the most accurate in finding the key of songs...

I did do a search, however no obvious results were found...

    Thanks heaps for your help,

Try playing along with the songs on the piano. Then you should be able to find the key fairly easily. Even if you don't play piano, just look up the scale for the key's that each program says it's in, and just play around and go with the one that you think sounds better.

    Using RE2 myself.

No cost beats cost when results are almost similar.
(Though Mixed in Key is easier in use)

Stick the results RE2 returns, that is of course unless you plan to use your ears which are potentially better than any key detection software out there.
