Midi Sync Help!

Can someone maybe breakdown the answer a bit further that deadmau5 and steve duda gave to this guy who's trying to sync up traktor and ableton? ("use MTC.. over IP based midi").

I'm interested in giving this a go but I'm a bit lost on how i'd set up nerds.de IPMidi between ableton and traktor. Also a bit confused on how to sync the soundcards via wordclock or Digital I/O. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thx!
