Default help with brand new vci-300

my sister is currently in tokyo. she bought me a vci-300 there the other day and kept it against the wall of the room she stayed in. according to her, some parts of the box got wet due to condensation that formed on the wall overnight. she hasn't taken a look at the unit itself but she says the insides of the box seem dry (but that was like hours after she first noticed that it got wet). is there any chance that my vci had gotten damaged due to the moisture? i'm not sure how safely packaged the unit is

Awesome sister for buying you that.

But besides that, the only way to know is to try it.

Yeah, haha, i know. Was so shocked when she messaged me about buying it!
Been worried cuz it was such a huge investment... would be too sad if the moisture affected it, caused parts to rust, etc.

hopefully the box had some moisture absorbing packets or something (which i highly doubt), and as bento said, the unit had been in plastic.

My experience with electronics that have gotten wet is to wait as long as possible before turning them on so that it has time to dry out inside. My gut says that condensation on a wall isn't enough to damage something that packaged in a box though.
