Custom edits of popular tracks...

Here's something i've been doing lately.
I've been taking some of the tracks that i play out regularly, and doing a little edit to them. Nothing big, i'm trying to do a remix. Just trying to give the people something unexpected.

So here's an example, "Zero Machine" by Le Castle Vania, at a point in this song i always wished some break would come. But after the drop on the original it just goes into the main hook for the song. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song, but i felt like it needed something more. So i added a nice wobbly break. I just chopped up some samples using Ableton's slice to new midi feature, a few Samplers, and a Simpler for the wobble bass, and voila, the break that i always wanted.



My edit is around 1:58.

I think it's awesome to do stuff like this. If anything it gets you into production if you aren't into it already.

That and, it just overall makes your sets a little more exclusive and helps build your name. I mean how many people were fiending for this edit or that edit? Keep it up!
