    Default Second Life DJing

I was watching a Frontline documentary (www.pbs.org) about digital technology. They mentioned Second Life and how the digital world is replacing the real world (people here on DJTT can relate a la vinyl vs. digital debate).

A quick glance at the Second Life website shows virtual dance clubs w/ live DJs. I was wondering if anyone on here has either a) DJed on Second Life or any sort of virtual platform or b) listened to a mix on there.

I am not too familiar with Second Life's system of exchange. But perhaps you charge fees to get into these clubs?

Yup, Sasha played a set at Hacienda which was broadcasted on Second Life live, officially endorsed by Radio 1. He was rendered digitally and everything.

Scumfrog, DJ Rap, and D:Fuse have done this as well. It's a fairly easy process so I'm told.

I DJ inside Second Life, its a great way to practice, and get criticism to your mixes from some of the other Djs' inside second life.

I was curious--do you do the mixes live or just upload a pre-recorded one? If you do it live, how do you stream into Second Life?

i'd guess using something like shoutcast? they'd give you the ip and port number to link to and away you go
