i'm looking for a jogwheel-like device to use with a ddm4000.

I'm pretty sure it's USB.
really? i thought it was firewire.. and i read that there's no firewire to usb converter for djing purposes..
As soon as Traktor supports the NS7 Stanton will have it working with Traktor in no time.
Nope, I was wrong before and you were correct. It is firewire. I thought I had seen it as USB somewhere, but I was mistaken.
That being said, you could potentially get a firewire to USB adapter (they do make them) but I'm not sure on the technical application of such a fix.

God, who is the guy in that video? BOOORING!
The SCS.1 controllers won't work with any of those USB to Firewire adapters. Neither will most other things because those adapters suck. What you want is either a PCMCIA or Expresscard Firewire adapter for your laptop, or a PCI card for your desktop (depending on which you own of course).
If you lack the ability to use an adapter card, you're out of luck.
