I've been on the site for quite some time, but have yet to introduce myself!
1. Ten59 ("Heaven" in Japanese)
2. Toronto, ON/Knoxville, TN/All over Japan
3. The all-encompassing genre known as "house." I also play a great indy hip hop/jazzy hip hop set.
Been DJing for a bit over a year, but it's hard to give it much time as a full-time law school student. I hope to be an entertainment lawyer representing DJs in the future (done in May!).

Hi there,
I'm Hefner
from Warsaw, Poland
and I play everything but strictly as a DJ - mostly broad range of EDM, funk and...well everything
plus in regards of music: i'm a musican, sound engineer and producer.
My favourite pieces of software are: Reaper, Traktor, Ableton.
I build my DJ sets on Traktor with RMX 2 with custom mapping, APC40 with Collision Mapping, LPD8 with custom mapping plus Ableton with sampler and MIDIighter 3D. Recently I bought Twister so, after I get rid of problems with Traktor and "midi clock" I hope I will utilize it with my sets.
Nice to meet ya'll
kisses,
Hefner
Hello all,
My name is Preston... from Toronto, Canada
Technically a reborn DJ lol. Used to spin a lot back maybe 5-10 years ago, mainly turntablism. Just recently picked up a reloop terminal mix 4 and caught the bug again. Thanks to the show your setup thread on here, took a trip to IKEA and am building a setup for my controller and Vestax pdx's and pmc pro II. SO thanks everyone lol.
(1) Hey, my name is DJ Gus K! I started mixing back in the daze of Jr. High, so that takes me back to the early 90's. I got my first pair of Techs at 15, and started having mix sessions in the garage studio. I cut my teeth on live performance at some house parties and numerous events in the LA rave seen around '98-'99. I used to work at a small record shop in Santa Monica called Global Grooves around that time. And then in '00, I packed my records up, put my DJ career on the shelf, and moved to the Bay Area for college.
(2) I'm originally from LA, now I dwell in the deserts of Tucson AZ. We do some some events around here from time to time. I roll with a crew here, we call ourselves the JAM Family.
(1+2) I'm primarily a Deep House/Nu-Disco DJ. I love playing funky groove edits from the 70's,80's, all the way up to the new stuff. Recently I put my CDJ's up on Craigslist and decided to step fully into a controller. It took me a while to embrace digital. For a while I was sorta half way in, using time code Vinyl/CDs with Traktor. So I recently decided to streamline the setup as everyone else I know has gone 100% digi. And that's all she wrote!
