greetings. the names jopa. i live just north of chicago and just south of milwaukee; its pretty midwestern and i like that. ive been djing just shy of a decade now. mostly hip hop, so i can scratch very well, but im certinaly no battle dj. i dont play out very much, and i like that, but im currently working with a dj crew called the rabidvinylmonks(.com) mostly mash up type insanity, but tasteful and all mixed live with vinyl records, hence the moniker. im not a purist by any means, but i hate the way technology will make people lazy; djs for the most part werent an exception. fortunately, as evident by this site, there are still many people intent on using new technology to its full potential. i made the digital transition pretty much as soon as i could afford it. i wanted to do it right and go all out. obvsiouly, i had many questions and sought out information and stumbled across the videos made by the very helpful guys who run this site. and here i am. my home setup includes: two technics 1200s, one rane ttm56, one akai mpd24, one macbook running traktor scratch pro and logic pro 8. my preferred syles are: reggae, ska, dub, dancehall, jungle, dubstep, and oldschool hiphop/electro breakdance.

Rock & Pop en espanol!
Welcome everyone!
erikC I hope the rock en espaņol mix I sent you helps u out.
yeah...it's clean. I like it. It's kinda what I'm in to...Not all about remixing with dance beats that sometimes ruin the song. Thanks for sharing.
I'm getting into some more electro/pop stuff...like plastilina mosh, the mexican institute of sound, kinky, los amigos invisibles, etc.
Thanks again!
