I just switched over to computer based DJing about 6 months ago from vinyl. It's a learning curve, and dependability for me is a big thing. Been DJing for 9 years, and producing for just about as long.
Using Traktor pro to DJ; and Logic 8, Ableton live 7, and some Reason 4 to produce. Mainly do Trance style stuff, drum and bass, and whatever stuff I feel like, sort of EDM as in throwing breaks and some other stuff into a "trance" track.
The possibilities seem endless as long as you can get all your stuff to work together without it killing each other, figuratively.

2. Ukiah, California/U.S.A. (This is about 2 hours north of San Francisco)
3. I played and loved Hip-Hop, for MANY years, I have grown tired of most all U.S. urban music, I am now into Electro, and am learning the style, and hope to play some clubs when I get it down.

Well, that's a compicated story, LOL.
I have played at a few venues, like Menjos, Backstreet, The Works, Club 9, Diamond Jims Saloon and Oslo...but I am not currently affiliated with any clubs.
I am rapidly becomng known as the Fetsih DJ in Detroit. I may have a 4 night/month gig in 2010. Just awaiting confirmation of dates. It's a brand new private dungeon/play space.
So until I find a club that loves my style of electro house (I call it Dirty Disco) I am not playing anywhere. Just doing internet shows.
