    Ok one thing i am trying to figure out is how to get this glitch type roll sound in live 8 from like 1:12 in the video i am guessing they are clips he is launching but short and glitchy,are they samples or effects? as i would like to do this and if anyone can help would be amazing thanks

    pretty sure it's the beat repeat effect, but there's a couple different ways to skin that cat. but you can do that sound with beat repeat, it's kind of like traktor's beatmasher effect.

    Yeah it is beat repeat. You will need to tweak a bit.
    First remove the filter in the top right of the beat repeat panel, second turn off the Pitch and Decay.
    That should get rid of the coloring of the sound and leave you with just a clean glitch

    you see i thought it might be the beat repeat too
    but i guess i am just gonna have to fiddle round with it
    so in that song is he triggering clips from one song with beat repeat turned on? or just playing the song straight but have many different beat repeats on?

    i am still trying to get this sound as a trigger?
    i'm confused is this just load of beat repeats in one bar or are there there sevrel split in to coloums
