I'm so sick of hearing that stupid response about any new simple product from trolls like you.

So please, go on ... put your 25 bucks where your mouth is ....
Word. Easy to hate. Harder to back it up.

In my humble opinion, I see a lot more vinyl "purists" dipping their toes into controllers now based on this device, because

    a) the dicer is simple & uncomplicated, which will encourage the "curious"
    b) it takes up next to no space
    c) the turntable still remains the principle instrument, while providing the workhorse functions of midi

It looks like Ean & the team are encouraging the first steps for the yet to be converted, and what a great way they've gone about it.

$100 for 2 well built, responsive devices, running off 1 USB port, backed up with a warranty? I don't understand how that is bad value.

yeah this quickswitch series looks very interesting, the launch of the dice must be a bit of a blow for them - I dont think they are really comparable devices, but the whole novel concept of a controller designed to fit into a trad work flow is what they share.

Yeah totally. i would not have guessed that either of these products would ever have been made.
It just shows, theres sometimes something staring you in the face and you cant see it because you are approaching the task in the same way as everyone else.

Somebody clearly just saw the whole controller thing from a totally different angle.

Id be surprised if this didnt pick up some awards.

The Dicer is genuinely the most original device this year.

I think people also have to remember that $100 (for two) is only RRP starting price, like all controllers its only going to get cheaper as time goes on Even at $100 though i still think they are worth snapping up, as if your doing juggle these are in the perfect position to do controllerism tricks ! An X1 or something like it is just too far out of the way to do tricks on in between juggles.

Told my mate about them fitting in the 45 adaptor slot, and he was lke 'where will my 45 spacers go?'. I told him we'd have to junk his Jazzman records. He was not happy.

    Now that's funny!!

We'll just have to brave going over the Serato forum, where the Stanton/Vestax TT guys are whining they have no 45 slot, and ask them where they keep their spacers.

    dude, what midifidler said.

i have no use for this but hating on this idea is retarded, because its:
    a. real simple
    b. fits the needs of any "digital" turntablist who doesnt want to just ditch tables all together.

the only better i have seen just ditches the ideas of tables all together (abletons apc combo / monome). a real game changer will be when commercial companies accept the idea of a monome 256... the combo of beat warping ableton style clips with large lighted led controllers that show playback in combo with quantification - there is no room for confusion on how to do shit
