Default If I Were an Audio 8 DJ Serial Number, Where Would I Be?

yeah, so my car got broken into, and one of the things that was stolen was my audio 8. it's a real soul crusher, after saving up for 4 months of not djing, gone like that.

anyway, the cop recommended i try and find the serial number of the unit so if it's pawned it'll be flagged. i've looked on the box it came in, but all the numbers i can see just look like UPS shipping/tracking code numbers. and while i highly doubt it, there's not some kind of NI warranty that would help me out in this situation is there?

    thanks for any help.

Hardware doesnt have Serial numbers that can be seen in Service Center (never understood that) .

Im not at home with mine but im positive there is a white sticker on the bottom of the Audio 8 with a number and bar code on it. That might be the serial number.
I can check in the morning. Maybe another member can look at theres in the meantime.
NI Registration Support should be able to trace your purchase through your NI account and give you the number. Did you register with NI when you bought it? If its still in warranty they should be able to trace it.

This is my theory anyway. Will post up if i can find out more and when ive checked my A8.

I had a motorcycle helmet stolen from me once. I cruised the pawnshops pretty regular and finally found it 3 months later. I had good identifiers on it that were put in the police report so it was a pretty painless process to get it back. Hopefully you can track down your serial number cause with out that your probably SOL even if you did find it.

I have asked support if they can trace the serial number.
If you registered it for the warranty they may have a record of it.
Do you have an NI Forum name or an NI Support Login name?
