Every track I dl from beatport results in the BPM reading to be cut in half.
Example. A song with a 130 bpm would be read as 65 bpm.
How can I change this?

Simple, expand the bottom of the deck it is loaded on. Click on "grid" if it is not selected already (it is likely to be set on "cue"). Click "x2".

Also take a look at preferences->filemanagement-> BPM Detection Range
Make sure it is set to your preferred range, not you preferred range cut in half
+1 to Gianmarco for posting the link to that vid.
Learning to beatgrid tracks yourself is a really useful skill, you'll find a working bpm in the process, I find traktor to be pretty good at detecting bpms but the grids themselves tend to be wrong about 40% of the time in my experience.
'Course if you know how to beatgrid already then ignore what I said about it and use that little button with the 'x2' on it you'll see in the vid. If you don't, learn to, you'll thank yourself for having done so later.
