Default OT: Official World Cup Thread

As suggested by hipnotikk I thought I would start the World Cup Thread.

Love every minute of it and haven't missed a game yet, slow starts from most teams but first games are always a bit of a testing ground. I'm sure there are a lot of fans here so lets get some fan talk going!!

Best goals you have seen? Team talk? Funny stuff? Don't like football, let us know and us fans will try to convince you!!!

All the German and Australian peeps on here have their game on as I speak but ze Germans are looking pretty good and took an early lead by Podolski, great goal too!!!

I have a feeling this game might be in the German bag but with the Oz lot you never know?!!!

    COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

I just wish they would stop blowing those horns.

I dont know one person that doesnt hate them.

Its spoiling the World Cup. I wish i could turn the stadium volume down and just have the commentary .

Can you listen to a radio broadcast and put the TV on mute? I've done that for loud games before.

i've wondered why they don't just take that frequency down (of the horns)..i suppose it gives a certain "live" feel to watching it? i can't imagine being there though..so loud

socceroos wondering what all this green plant-like stuff is on the ground... :P

Ahhh the wonderful sound of the voovoo zela's (think that's how it's spelt). It is really annoying but as you said part of the atmos!!

As much as it pains me to say it Germany are looking pretty good, two awesome goals, a bit of slack Oz defending though, have a feeling Klose might be up for the golden boot depending on how far they get?

Have you tried the 5live commentary if you have freeview (admittedly only if it's on BBC)? Don't think its so bad on there?

Cahill shouldn't have gone, that was a harsh red!!!

Happy Germans all round then? 4-0 is pretty good.
