Default New Numark Mixtrack (looks like a VCI-100)

    Just saw this on Skratchworx:

Looks like Numark's answer to the VCI-100, but in my opinion looks less professional (I think the color scheme is whats bothering me lol). Apparently it has the options for a sound card, but other than that, seems pretty similar.

    Digging those platters though.

i think it looks toyish. i started out with a numark total control which i think is a good way to get into it, mainly because you can pick them up cheap so getting started is super easy. after a few months though locking myself in my room watching youtube vidoeos and surfing this board and mixing all night i got really tired of it quickly and it began to feel like a toy. i do see what you're saying about the vci 100 look though.

Not enough knobs (no filter knob and effects decks are lacking a knob each). Looks more like an answer to the Typhoon/Spin than a VCI-100.

Who in their design department is responsible for those colors and toyish looks lol. I dunno, I would imagine that a more professional looking controller would yield better public response. Oh well.

But yeah, as you said Phil, it does seem more like an answer to the Typhoon/Spin than the VCI-100

Numark, the kings of recycling their products.

Those are NDX platters shoved onto a Omni Control....nothing more.

    Good thing it's only $150.

Who on earth thought it would be a good idea to have the master gain as a fader in between the two channel faders...

That'll get remapped for a start!
