Stupid question alert!

manually create a new shortcut on the dock? by dragging the the application file out with a right click? assuming macs do that...

Sweet, thanks for the help guys, all sorted. Re-posted the link in the dock and it suddenly came up in the service centre that I had an upgrade.
Downloaded it and then found where it had placed itself in Versions in the service centre.
Then I opened it from there and dragged the new 1.2.6 into the dock!!!

Problem solved. (I know that was probably really easy for someone who knows what they're doing but I'm a simpleton with computers).
