    Default FL Studio on mac

    Hi guys!

Just wandering if FL studio runs on mac?
I guess it would only work through boot camp on windows or..?
Would like to get some feedback on this question.

    Thanks

Yeah unfortunately FL does only run on the Windows platform. So in order to do so you would have to set up Bootcamp or run it within a VM like VM Fusion Ware or Parallel Desktop.

Another way may perhaps to be try using Cross Over, but I am not to sure at how successful that would be.

    EDIT

got FL Studio 8 (Demo) to work in Mac with crossover. It was really simple, I tried running it with a Win2000 Bottle, but it didn't work so i used:

    Crossover 7
    WinXP Bottle
FL Studio 8 Demo Installer (.exe)

    And it just worked!

There were a few problems like the random "error 1400(or 1600) cannot read from access" or something like that.

    But it works!

I haven't tested ASIO4All v2, but I'm think that wont work because it uses a windows type driver.

The point is, it works! And not like VM-Fusionware Fusion speed, but full native speed!

Parallel Windows kills boot camp, no rebooting to transfer tracks/stems/etc. from one partition to the other. check it out.

Only Problems with Parallel Windows / VM Fusion Ware is you do not get full system resources as the Windows VM is sharing CPU / RAM / Devices with MacOSX.
I do know that in most occasions some of our machines are juiced well enough for that to be no issue.
