    Lmao that's hilarious.

Actually it would be a lot funnier if tinnitus wasn't so serious. I have permanent tinnitus in my left ear. I'm not even going to go the it-inhibits-my-hearing route.

It sucks. It's annoying. When it's quiet, all I hear is that same kind of high pitched ringing after a night at the club. Except it doesn't go away. It just chills. And it's always down to kick it, like an unwelcome house guest.

Remember when you were a kid and you had sleepovers and there was always that one kid who wouldn't shut up when everyone was trying to sleep and you just wished he would go away? It's like that.

Damn... I feel for you man

Awhile back I started really noticing the ringing, it got me really worked up, nervous, and worried...
After I saw an audiologist and found out I had no hearing damage, I notice the ringing a lot less....

they don't fit perfectly, kinda push them into my ears a little bit, but it sure beats having muffly foam earplugs. When I'm mixing I don't have my headphones on a lot anyway

You ask why people don't wear ear plugs?
Because they think there no cool.
Who cares what people think, they party once/twice a week, go home and forget that they even where out, you on the other hand try to make a living for that, not many people are like Beethoven.
Protect those ears, you only have one set.
    Take care of them.

I have a pair of reusable silicone formed earplugs. I bought them at a chemist - they're actually industrial hearing protection, designed for building sites.

They cut out pretty much everything for 20db odd, much worth it. Music sounds great with them in.

    And about $2.

    Yes. $2.

They're designed for flat out noise cancelling when the performance ear plugs are designed to cut out certain frequencies while still retaining the original sound. Spend more gain more.

    So true.
But then again if you're on a tight budget I'd rather go for these than nothing
