Default Scrape mod on Allen & Heath crossfader

There's an Allen & Heath mixer in the venue I DJ at. Dunno why every raves about Allen & Heath mixers but personally I think they suck for a number of reasons. Anyway, putting that aside they are not at all built for scratching, the curve is ridiculous. I'm thinking of doing a scrape mod on it like I have done in the past with one of my Vestax mixers. Just wondering if anyone has attempted this and if there is anything I should know before I potentially fuck up someone else's property.

    Cheers

Personally i would wait for the new Innofader comming soon that will work with analogue mixers.

I was told it would come out "in a couple months" in may - obviously its a couple months later now so it shouldnt be too long a wait

Ok, I'm gonna go for the mod now... the time has come! Can anyone tell me what strips I need to scrape? I've done this mod before on a vestax PMC or PCV (what ever, cant remember which one... which ever one you find in an 05 pro) which was pretty straight forward. But this is a Penny & Giles crossfader in a Xone 64 (I think thats the model, not by it right now).

Anyway, I want to do a scrape mod on a penny & giles crossfader, any help appreciated.

    Cheers

did you notice there's a little knob to the left of the xfader to adjust the curve. You can get a scratching on-off curve with that.

But yeah, not too many scratchers using xones cause there's 4 band eq and the travel of the line fader is too long. Great for super long blends.

Personally I love my xone92, don't scratch though. To each his own I guess.
