i agree a good pair of headphones is amazing. i got flight cases for all my guitar gear. i have them on my heads, cabs, everything and you know what? i wish i never spent the money on them. id suggest either a nice DJ bag to transport your things in or some really nice headphones. if you are gigging out a lot a nice bag can make a huge different not only in how you can carry your things and their safety but setup time. with it organized in a bag it seems to come out and go back in so much quicker. if you arent gigging on a regular basis some headphones might do the trick to improving your mixes and just making the music sound that much better!

google gig skinz for really nice bags for DJ gear.

    Also: +1 to headphones.

I'm using Skullcandy SK Pro's and they're actually a lot better than people give them credit for, build quality is surprisingly sturdy... far better than the other headphones they make. My only gripe with them is that they are an open design so the noise cancelling isn't too great.
If you can find them for the 200$ your limit is, I strongly suggest the Ultrasone DJ1 Pro's. I hear the sound quality is amazing, not to mention all the extras they come with. Or you could just save up a bit more and buy the Pioneer HDJ 2000's, I tried my friend's and they are great! Good sound, amazing build quality.
    Just my 2 cents.

Pair of sennheiser hd 25''s or hdj 2000's.

Bought flightcases for my gear when i had a mixer and cdj's, Just a waste of space to be honest. No enjoyment out of them either.
