1200 Platter Dots

We've got quite an international community here so...

what are some of the names the speed calibration pattern dots on a 1200's platter go by around the globe?

i've always called them 'dots' *shrug*

I always called them the pitch strobes. Thats basically their purpose, they are strobe activated dots which allow you to eyeball pitch without looking at the slider.

I knew someone a while ago that called them "brothel dots", the reason being he said it looked like Pac Man in a brothel because of the red light!! I will add he was a bit wierd.

I always referred to them as "the speed bump thingies on the side", technical i know.

i always called it the pitch calibration light.

if the pitch is not on 0 and the dots are "moving" at the 0 point....your pitch is out of calibration.
