Default VCI-300 jog wheels have 2 controls?

I am trying to understand how the Vestax VCI-300 jog wheels act when sending midi.
When using Itch, the outside of the platter acts as a nudge wheel and the top part of the platter acts as a scratch wheel or seek. Is it the same with the VCI-100? I am trying to get the same control using Traktor Scratch Pro and Mini.trans..

Yes, it is the same with the VCI-100. In fact, the middle knob sends one message when the Vinyl Mode button is toggled on, and another when it's toggled off :-)
    It's the FAQ. Read it.

ok, but the outside edge of the platter (VCI-100) acts as a nudge too? or send different midi message? I saw in a TKS file from here that is set so the pitch up/down was set to a button and not the platter. I like the real feel of the VCI-300 nudge..very much like a real turntable, but this may be the tight link with Itch.
