OT-ish: Playing iTunes through DJIO

Once upon a time, when I plugged in my DJIO, and then started iTunes, it would automatically switch from using my laptop's default sound settings and output through the DJIO.

Then one day, I'm not even sure what day, it stopped doing this. Hmm... tried restarting my computer with the DJIO already plugged in. No luck. Went into the control panel and switched my default sound drivers to the DJIO. And then iTunes wouldn't open (neither would Firefox) until I switched the drivers back to the regular settings.

What I don't understand is that it works fine in FL and Traktor. Any ideas?

right click on your volume icon, open playback devices. (with the DJIO plugged in) set the right output pair as the default. my PC sets my AK1 as the default when i plug it in.
