    Thats pretty awesome.

I'm nearly 100% sure thats an LED screen similar to the one chemical brothers use.
Would be somewhat hard to get a projector working well in a circle like that, tho not impossible.... hmmm i totally need to get back into doing interactive projections for music.. im just toooo lazy.

LEDs, perhaps strings of them suspended from the ceiling = 3D screen

so let me get this straight. that party had:

    AMAZING 3D LED screens

    Rad minimal

AND hot girls in skimpy Carnival outfits.

I need to get booked for that show next year!

yeah they had a pretty sick lineup... just look up tunnel carnival 2008 on google vids or youtube...lots of stuff will pop up.... if you want to see a super massive party look up sensation black or sensation white.....kind of different style as one caters to hardstyle and the other is mainly trance...but cool none the less!

oh the track id of the song in that intro is deadmau5 - peddler of misery

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=LsIJSjq-a5s&feature=related and speaking of minimal....

heres a crazy minimal track check it out ...

Whoa nice intro! Makes me wonder how well controllerism smart knobs would hook up to putting effects on visuals at the same time.

precisely- they are SOOOOO scratching the surface. Common guys. Smart knobs connected to those LEDs would blow peoples minds. they would need to ban acid at all raves due to mental melt downs.

    hahahaha gold quote!

I should show you guys some of the stuff I was working on for gigs, I wrote my honors thesis on interactivity and visualisation in a dance music scene. I will post a link to a .pdf of it at some point. I really should get back into doing it and actually get it setup at a club.

Was making an interactive (touch surface) ceiling projection which was sync'd to the music.

I really think there is a MASSIVE gap in the dance culture scene that can be filled. Visualisation can be totally taken to another level - that 3D screen is a sweet example, but could be even better. Not to mention adding in interactive stuff.

i am all about touching and feelin man...heheh ask my girlfriend lol....nah but seriously that sounds pretty dope...ceiling visuals...just think of music lighting and sound interactivity at a club...that would be pretty wild!
