You can see the display options in the software gallery on the Traktor site. You can have 2 track decks and 2 sample decks, 2 track decks, 4 track decks, 2 track decks and 2 live inputs. So you don't load a track into a sample spot and the best I can tell the sample decks will max out at 32 counts.
That's what kind of confuses me. If you put something into the sample bank how do you determine where it will start. For example lets say your vocal sample is just a tad off the start point how would you adjust it so you don't get any silence at the beginning of the sample.
Could be that you'll have to do some prep work on the samples like you would a regular track like setting beat grids and cue points. If you have a track with a portion you want to sample you won't put that whole track in the sample area, but use the loop recorder to record the section you want to sample. Then you can save that loop in your track collection. Keep in mind I've never seen this new Traktor other than what's available on the NI site.
In a watt I'm glad this won't be out for a while. Itll give me time to organize prep my tracks.
If you check the video, you can see shiftee pulling a loop form a song into a sample deck. Youll probably be able to set a loop in and loop out point, and then pull it into the sample deck.
I hope this is what you mean.

I might end up getting this. Then again, I barely have enough money to buy an APC 40 (next on my purchase list) so this probably won't be getting my hard earned money for a long while
